1. The Relationship
When you partner with Cafe Culture, you are entering a business partnership - not just a licensing transaction. Vasu Devan Kalyana Sundaram has personally built and operated every store in this system. What we pass to you is real, tested experience. In return, we expect a genuine commitment to the brand, the community, and the standards we have built over six years.
The formal Franchise Agreement will be provided to you during the discovery process, prior to any financial commitment. You will have time to review it, consult a lawyer, and ask every question you have.
2. Eligibility
To be considered as a Cafe Culture franchise partner, you must:
- Have a minimum available investment of ₹20,00,000 (Rupees Twenty Lakhs)
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Be an Indian citizen or hold valid business operation rights in India
- Be willing to be actively involved in, or closely supervise, day-to-day store operations
- Share a genuine interest in the food and hospitality business
We do not shortlist partners purely on investment capacity. Your commitment, character, and community fit matter equally to us.
3. Investment & Fees
Minimum Investment: ₹20,00,000 (space on rental basis; investment may vary by location and store size).
What the investment covers:
- One-time Franchise Fee
- Store setup, equipment, and fit-out
- Interior design and branding
- Initial inventory and supplies
- Working capital (3 months)
The full investment breakdown is shared during the Discovery Call. All figures are based on real setup costs from Cafe Culture's existing stores - not estimates or projections.
Royalty: A percentage of monthly net revenue, as detailed in the Franchise Agreement. The royalty structure is deliberately designed to keep maximum profit in your hands. Vasu's non-negotiable position: your profitability comes first.
4. What Cafe Culture Provides
As a franchise partner, you receive:
- Exclusive territory rights for your approved location
- Full brand licence, trademark usage rights, and brand assets
- 30-day in-store training at a live Cafe Culture outlet
- Complete store setup support - vendor introductions, fit-out guidance
- Access to Cafe Culture's own manufacturing unit (ice creams, bakery items)
- Centralised supply chain with bulk pricing benefits
- Branded POS system, menu boards, and in-store collateral
- Digital marketing support for the first 90 days (managed by Dsignxt)
- Monthly support call with Vasu Devan personally
- Membership in the Cafe Culture franchise community (WhatsApp group + quarterly meets)
5. Your Responsibilities
As a Cafe Culture partner, you commit to:
- Operating the store in accordance with brand standards and operational guidelines
- Maintaining the quality of food, service, and cleanliness at all times
- Using only approved suppliers and Cafe Culture manufactured products
- Attending all required training and brand updates
- Not operating or investing in a competing food and beverage business within your territory during the franchise period
- Reporting monthly sales data accurately and on time
- Maintaining valid FSSAI licence, GST registration, and all applicable local permits
6. Territory & Exclusivity
Each franchise partner is granted an exclusive territory at the time of agreement. Within this territory, Cafe Culture will not open or license another outlet during the term of your agreement, subject to you meeting agreed performance standards.
Territory size and boundaries are defined in the Franchise Agreement based on location, population density, and business potential.
7. Agreement Duration & Renewal
The initial franchise term is 5 years from the date of store opening.
At the end of the term, renewal is available subject to:
- Satisfactory operational performance throughout the term
- Compliance with all brand standards
- Mutual agreement on updated terms
- Payment of a renewal fee (as specified in the agreement)
Renewal is not automatic but is actively encouraged for performing partners.
8. Training & Support
Training is not optional. Every Cafe Culture franchise partner must complete the full 30-day in-store training programme before opening. This covers:
- Food preparation and quality standards
- Store operations and opening/closing procedures
- Staff hiring, training, and management
- POS and inventory systems
- Customer service standards
- Marketing and social media basics
Ongoing support is provided through the franchise community, monthly calls, and a dedicated Cafe Culture franchise success contact.
9. Termination
Cafe Culture reserves the right to terminate the franchise agreement if a partner:
- Consistently fails to meet brand quality standards after written warnings
- Engages in conduct that damages the Cafe Culture brand or community
- Fails to pay royalties or fees for more than 60 days without agreed arrangements
- Operates a competing business in violation of the non-compete clause
- Provides materially false information in the franchise application
Termination is a last resort. We are partners. We will always try to resolve issues through conversation first.
10. Intellectual Property
All Cafe Culture trademarks, brand names, logos, recipes, and operational materials remain the exclusive property of Cafe Culture PVT LTD / Guha Group of Companies. You are licensed to use them during the term of your agreement. This licence ends upon termination or expiry of the agreement.
11. Dispute Resolution
We would always rather have a conversation than a legal dispute. If any issue arises between Cafe Culture and a franchise partner, both parties agree to first attempt resolution through direct dialogue, and if needed, through a mutually agreed mediator.
If formal resolution is required, disputes will be governed by the laws of India and settled before courts in Salem, Tamil Nadu.
12. Disclaimer
The financial projections shared during the franchise enquiry process (including 15–18% monthly return on investment) are based on the performance of Cafe Culture's directly operated stores. Actual results will vary based on location, footfall, owner involvement, and market conditions. These figures are provided for guidance only and do not constitute a guarantee of profit.
